Wild Cards Universe
If you haven't noticed the lack of reports from my summer game this year, that's because it didn't happen. One of my players got himself into a spot of trouble and couldn't come. Another one was his friend and wouldn't come if the other fellow couldn't be there. Then one of the other players got a job and had scheduling conflicts. That left me with two players, one of whom could come only sometimes. Not the way to do a game.|
Now that summer is nearly over, I'm instead looking at what to do in the fall. When school is in session, I game at the local university. I try to run a number of different systems, so it's not always confirmed what I'll be doing. I've got a few options that I might do, only two of which are Wild Cards.
1) Do the campaign that I was going to do over the summer, though maybe extend it or come up with something that will go after it, since I will have more time to do things over the year than I did over the summer.
2) Run a different Wild Cards campaign. Right now, I'm thinking of having the game be like an aces reality show (Think MTV's The Real World, not Survivor or anything stupid like that). I'd like to see if I can get players who want to do something more character driven like that. The challenge is also coming up with things that make sense in that context but that allows for super power use (battles, heroics and such).
My other options are non-Wild Cards, so I won't bore you with them.
