I am waiting to see the preview on Free Comic Book Day before I pass judgement on this series. I am hopeful but how long has it been that we've been told "Wild Cards is starting up again" and we still have yet to get book 4 of the last 4 part series (you remember, the one where book 3 ended with the heroes chasing after a stolen nuke headed for America. We never saw the last part of that story series).

missing ending?

I'm not sure precisely what you're referring to -- comic or book -- but all the parts of all previous Wild Cards series were published as scheduled. You may never have seen it, but if so, it's because you missed it, not because it wasn't published. The old Epic comic series ran four issues. All four were published, and then later they were collected into a graphic novel. The last major Wild Card book series -- the Card Shark triad -- had three volumes, all published by Baen Books. All the old volumes can be found on ABE, ebay, and Amazon.

Re: missing ending?

The Card Shark series (thank you, I had forgotten the name of that storyline) was a four book series, and book three (aka #15 in the overall series) ended on the cliffhanger (trying to catch the stolen nuke before it was smuggled into the U.S. and set off). Book four never came out, the series was cancelled after book 3 was published. I know that two stand-alone books came out in hardcover but never released in paperback, and neither was the final part of the Card Sharks story. So the book I am refering to was supposed to follow
Black Trump, but never came out (Deuces Down would have been book #17, not #16).
